  • Easter Service at Church

Wed 27 Mar 2024 Emma Murray

    Easter Service

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who joined us to celebrate our Easter Service today at Church.  This is one of the most important events on our school and Christian calendar and it was wonderful to see you all there to support our children as they celebrated the Easter story through prayer, song and drama.  If you couldn't make it, you can still take a look at the photographs from the day (videos will be available under our 'Latest News' tab).  SPSM wishes our parents, carers and community a very Happy Easter.

    World Book Day

At SPSM we love reading and there was no better way to show this but by taking part in World Book Day.  Children and adults were encouraged to dress up as their favourite book theme or character for the day.  Take a look at the photos, can you guess who the characters are?  Perhaps you can see a favourite childhood book or character amongst the costumes which will reignite your love for reading!

    Year 6 - Residential Trip

Year 6 had a good (although long) journey and arrived safely.  They have settled in well to their residential trip and the weather has been kind to them.  They have already had lots of different experiences and taken part in lots of activities, despite only having been there for two days!  Photos will be updated, so check back soon!

  • Memorial Service

    KS2 Memorial Service

On Wednesday 31st January 2024, Daniel and Key Stage Two children held a special service to remember all their loved ones who have sadly passed away.  We lit candles in their memory and prayed, asking God to give us strength and comfort when we miss our loved ones.  We also thought about all the positive memories we keep of our loved ones and how to be a supportive friend to someone who has experienced loss.  There were 47 candles lit in memory from both staff and children.

    Our Christmas Giving Tree

Thank you to our parents, carers and other members of our SPSM community who showed great generosity in donating to the Giving Tree appeal.  We will deliver all your wonderful gifts to the Salvation Army in Hackney who will then distribute them.  Your help means that a child in need will receive a much appreciated gift this Christmas.  Thank you again and Merry Christmas!

    Christmas Service - Church

SPSM can think of no better way to round off the year than with our annual Church Service.  The whole school made the journey to St Michael and All Angel's Church to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to mark Christmas as one of the pivotal events of our school year.  Each class performed a song to mark the occasion, led in our service by Rev. Gerrans.  Early Years were excellent in their tableau presentation of the Nativity.  Thank you to all parents and carers who came to lend their support.  Merry Christmas to you all!

  • A Visit from Santa

Mon 18 Dec 2023 Emma Murray

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

A very special visitor landed his sleigh at SPSM today.  Did you hear his bell ringing?  Did you see his reindeer helpers?  Did you catch a flash of his red cloak as he dashed in to the SPSM buildings?  Do you know who this was?  That's right...SANTA CLAUS!

Santa and his mischievous (!) elf visited all of the classes at SPSM and gave out gifts galore.  We all really enjoyed his visit and hope that he comes again next year.  Let's all stay on the 'nice' list!  Happy Christmas and thank you, Santa!

    Book Corner Competition

Another year, another fierce competition to have the best book corner out of all the classes at SPSM!  Mrs Lot and the School Council members looked at every class and their decisions on the winners are as follows:

    1st Place - Reception Class

    2nd Place - Nursery

    3rd Place - Year 5

Congratulations to you all.  Photographs of the winners and all other entries can be seen in our gallery below.

  • Topic Dress Up day

Fri 15 Dec 2023 Emma Murray

    Topic Dress up Day

All classes at SPSM rounded off their learning on their termly subjects by dressing up relating to their topic or theme.  Looking at the photographs of the day, can you tell what each class were studying?  Have a go at guessing!
