Goodbye Year 6!
Thu 20 Jul 2023Year 6 - Goodbye and Good Luck!
Mixed emotions surrounded our Year 6 Leavers' Assembly today and we also said a fond farewell to Miss Moroney who is heading back to her native Canada. Although we are sad to see them all go, we are delighted and excited that they are moving on to bigger and better things. Our Church service was a celebration of the journey Year 6 have made through Primary School so far, the highs and lows and all the wonderful friendships and memories made (the children had previously shared their best memories of SPSM in Tuesday's special school assembly). A new journey awaits you Year 6, embrace all that it brings you and we know you will all achieve great things, leading you towards your goals and aspirations. Good luck in all you do!

Year 6 Prom
Fri 14 Jul 2023Year 6 Prom
It was with mixed emotions that we held our Year 6 Prom last Friday. We are proud and delighted that our children at the top of the school will go on to represent us wonderfully at Secondary School but also sad to see them leave us. So with best bib and tucker on, we held our annual prom to show Year 6 just what they mean to us. Our Head Teacher, Mrs Lot, organises a prom to rival any you will see in the American teen movies (even the rain couldn't dampen the atmosphere she had created), just one look at the photos of the event will make you wish you had an invite. Good luck Year 6, we love you and will miss you and you will always be in our prayers.

As you will be aware, SPSM was again awarded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED this year. The inspectors commended many things, including our children's love for learning and excellent behaviour. As a special treat and to say thank you to the staff and children for all their hard work, we all went to Hackney Picture House to watch 'Super Mario Brothers - The Movie'. Much fun was had (as well as popcorn and refreshments) at a well deserved day out!

Art Exhibition
Wed 05 Jul 2023Art Exhibition
Over the year, children at SPSM are inspired to create artwork based on some of our best loved and well known artists. At the same time, children learn about the lives of these artists and reflect on art that they have studied and how this links to our school values and children's own spiritual and moral development. Towards the end of the Summer term, the children's hard work is displayed and shared as part of our annual Art Exhibition. We were delighted to be able to open up our exhibition for all the families within our school. If you couldn't make it, you can see the wealth of talent that was on display in our photo gallery below. A big thank you to Miss Foster for inspiring our artistic talents and for putting together an exhibition to be very proud of.
