Be Bright, Stay in Sight Day!
Thu 23 Nov 2023Be Bright, Stay in Sight Day (BBSIS) - 2023
BBSIS 2023 brought colour and sparkle to SPSM. There was of course, another reason to hold our annual BBSIS day, to remember how to keep ourselves safe on and around the roads, especially as Winter sets in and the days get darker earlier. A big congratulations to the Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) for organizing such a wonderful day and keeping us safe. The JRSOs had the tricky job of judging our competitions on the day. These were:
Brightest Class - Reception Class (Winners) and
The Road Safety Treasure Token Hunt (Winners - Year 5, golden tokens were found by Ayvah and Kyrie).
Why not have a look at some of the photos of the day? WARNING - Sunglasses may be needed to view these super bright photos!

Cycle Training
Tue 07 Nov 2023Bikeability Cycle Training - 2023
Children from Years 5 & 6 took part in our cycle training scheme this week which is run in partnership with Cycle Confident (a big thank you to the JRSOs for their organisational skills during the week). Some children had more experience than others but all made incredible strides in their cycle skills and cycle safety knowledge. Well done everyone who took part, your new skills will be invaluable in life! Have a look at the photographs of the weekly event. If you didn't take part this week, look out for other opportunities to join in the training later in the school year.
