Early Years Team - Spring Term 2
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you all had a lovely half-term break. We are excited for all of the events that are coming up over the term. Our value this term is Forgiveness. Our Bible verse is:
Luke 6:37 - 'Forgive and you will be forgiven'.
Our new topic is 'Homes and Gardens'. Please talk to your child about different rooms in your home and their functions. Also, children should know that a garden is an area adjoining a house in which grass, flowers and shrubs or trees may grow. The children have been assigned a homework project to design their ideal home or create their ideal room using recyclable materials. This is due on or before Friday 7th March.
Class fund - The class fund for this half-term is £10; you may pay £2 per week. This fund helps us to buy resources for the children to use in school. We will be cooking and taking part in more visits and any money that is left over will go towards our end of year trip.
PE will be on Friday afternoon. Please make sure your child comes to school with the appropriate clothing. Children need to bring black jogging bottoms or leggings, a white t-shirt and trainers (if your child wears tights, please also make sure they have socks in their bag).
Please continue to read each day with your child and support them with their weekly homework.
Homework is set each Friday and needs to be completed and returned by the following Friday. Book bags are changed every Monday and Friday so it is important that your child brings their book bag to school on these days. Should a book bag be lost, it is important that your provide your child with a replacement as soon as possible. Also, please remember that your child has access to 'Reading Eggs' and 'Mathletics'. Please encourage your child to access these wonderful resources, certificates are given out each week for participation!
We will continue to work on a 'Makaton' sign of the week. You and your child can use these signs in your day-to-day activities.

- Museum of the Home - (TBC) A separate letter will be sent out for this trip
