Eco-Schools

We did it! - SPSM is an Eco-School, celebrating our commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability!  

We are so excited to announce that our school has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction.  This is the highest award a school can achieve and it means that SPSM has gone above and beyond to care for our planet, our school and our community.  We couldn't have done it without our amazing pupils - they have truly become our school's Eco-warriors!

Our children have been very busy protecting our school and environment.  They have made a brilliant team, getting hands-on with some fantastic and imaginative projects.  They dug through our bins, carrying out a waste audit to figure out how we can recycle more efficiently and they became creative by reusing plastic bottles to build a wonderful greenhouse.  Our local wildlife also benefited from the hard work of the Eco-warriors as they made beautiful birdhouses and feeders.  These small actions add up to make a huge difference!
