The World Reimagined
The World Reimagined
At St Paul's with St Michael's we 'reimagined' the world as a whole school. The globe sculpture you will see below is not just a work of art; it is a symbol of hope and of possibilities created by our hands. It was brought to life through the imagination and creativity of young minds who poured their hearts and souls into this masterpiece.
In addition to the African patterns and bright colours, children added their voices to the sculpture through protest posters and poems about Black Icons. The protest posters are a powerful reminder of the need for justice and equality, whilst our poems highlight the contribution of the Black heroes and heroines of our world.
This globe sculpture represents the power of coming together to create something not only aesthetically inviting but deeply meaningful. It stands as a statement to the creativity and spirit of young minds, as the architects of the world we hope to see. This is a celebration of diversity, hope and possibility. It serves as a reminder that our future is in good hands. Enjoy the journey, Globe!
At the beginning of the Summer term, our globe has taken up residence at the Arcola Theatre in Dalston. There will be many other stops also. Check back here for more updates.
