SATS Information - Year 6
Dear Parents, Carers and Children of Year 6,
Next week is SATs week! The children will be taking a total of 6 different tests. There will be 3 maths papers, 1 grammar paper, 1 spelling paper and 1 reading paper (see below for timetable). As you will see, there is lots to do and prepare for.
The children will need to have a good night’s sleep each night (at least 8 hours), be on time, bring water and eat a healthy breakfast; to this end, we will be running breakfast club at 8:15am. It is strongly recommend that all children attend at this time, even if they eat breakfast at home. Being together, before the tests, helps the children get into the right frame of mind.
We also recommend that the children revise for the upcoming exams in the evenings.
On Friday, after the last test, we will be taking the children to Victoria Park as a treat. We will be there during lunch, so if you normally pay for lunches, your child will need a packed lunch.
There will be a zoom meeting on Friday, at 4pm, to go over this and to answer any questions you have.
