RockSteady Performance
RockSteady
Many of our children aspire to learn a musical instrument or to be a talented singer and performer and at SPSM, we love to nurture our children's aspirations. Working with RockSteady is one way in which we do this. Children who take part get a chance to share their love of music and build friendships and social skills as well as musical skills! Today we were treated to three different performances of what the children have been learning so far in their RockSteady groups and it was fantastic! Our three bands were, 'Double Trouble' with Amala on vocals and Florence playing the keyboard, 'The Iron RockSteady Cats' who boasted Artur, Mariah and Keon playing the guitars, Matthias and Jayski on the keyboards and Neriah and Isaiah entertaining us on drums. Finally, we were enthralled by 'The Jolly Fat Man' (a nod to Father Christmas!). Otis and Blye strummed the guitars whilst Mayokun and Alfie played the keyboards and Ava and Zion treated us with their drumming. There was lots of foot tapping, swaying and singing along to our talented musicians and our photographs showcase the talent. Take a look and enjoy.
